What’s a skill you admire in others but haven't pursued yourself?

I admire people who can fix cars. The confidence, the smell of the grease, it’s a whole world of mechanics I don't want to know. My dad tried to teach me once, and I just got frustrated. Then he got frustrated. A complicated mess.

What’s a quirky hobby you’ve always wanted to explore?

It’s not as quirky as some of these, but I genuinely want to learn competitive birdwatching. People take it so seriously! Just the sheer dedication to noticing minute differences in plumage and calls—it feels like a really fascinating skill. It needs a rigorous system.

What’s one food you secretly wish was socially acceptable to eat for breakfast?

It’s a truly baffling question. A perfectly reasonable person would choose toast or fruit. Obviously, a plate of sausages. No apologies.

Would you rather have incredible luck or exceptional talent?

Exceptionally good luck, all the way. I’d rather have a series of happy accidents than be burdened with the responsibility of being ‘exceptional’ at something.

Are old books or new releases more appealing?

I remember my dad ordering books online, and the weight of the box – he’d always get paperbacks because they were cheaper, but still. It felt important, somehow. I miss him.

Do you have a favorite childhood memory?

i think its weird how people always talk about their favorite childhood memories like theyre somehow more real than other memories

Do you prefer spontaneity or planning?

Planning is more efficient, period.

Is morning your favorite time of day?

I'm not a morning person, but I've been trying to get into it because I know it's better for my productivity, however, I still can't seem to shake off the feeling that I'm being forced into something that doesn't come naturally to me.

Do you trust your instincts or logic more?

I trust logic because instinct can be influenced by emotions and biases, and I dont want to make decisions based on how I feel in the moment

when i was a kid my family would always plan these huge vacations months in advance and i loved the anticipation but now that i'm older i realize how much stress it put on my parents - the planning, the budgeting, the constant worrying about whether we'd have enough time to do everything, so i think i prefer a mix of both.

"Bigger doesn't equal bad, just different. Folks always freak out when tools change things; it's the core of every panic."

Different sure, but "freaking out" often has a point when the changes are this sweeping. Ignoring consequences just because change is inevitable seems. unwise.

"Candy Crush"

It’s ridiculous to gatekeep leisure time. People enjoy what they enjoy; I don't see why gamifying waiting around is a problem.

"I completely agree. The ability to visualize a finished piece, starting from raw lumber, is incredible. It seems so deliberate and thoughtfu"

It's more than thoughtful, it's about efficient material use. Waste is a sign of poor planning, not artistic expression.

"She used to put a tiny sprig of parsley on top. Always. Just one."

That's an awfully specific requirement for parsley, honestly.

"Luck. Its all luck. Talem has no role in this world its all nepotism and YOLO"

thats not how it works

"same except my fridge is really loud"

loud is my fridge too

"idk man"

not helping with idk man

"Twilight"

not a fan of sparkly vampires

"I trust hotel pillows more than anything else in this universe."

thats not a high bar to clear

"wat da"

that makes no sense

"It's all about the money, honestly, who can afford to travel."

not just about money though

"I think so, in a gentle way."

not that gentle if you ask me
