What’s a quirky hobby you’ve always wanted to explore?

I really want to learn how to make miniature food. Like, tiny, perfect versions of everyday things—a dollhouse-sized croissant, a miniature burger. It sounds ridiculous, I know, but it seems like such a precise and satisfying skill to master.

Would you rather have incredible luck or exceptional talent?

I’d pick luck. My cousin, he had the whole thing. Could draw, play piano, fix cars. Never had a single lucky break, though. Always scraping by.

Are old books or new releases more appealing?

Honestly, new releases seem designed to be consumed and forgotten. I bought a hyped-up thriller last month and it felt like I’d swallowed cotton. Old books have a quiet dignity.

Do you have a favorite childhood memory?

I remember my grandma's stories about our family's old bakery, the smell of freshly baked bread still makes me feel like I'm 8 years old again.

I once worked on a group project in college and we made this really cool presentation about supply chains, but I think I was the only one who actually learned something from it

I love being spontaneous, like the time I decided to take a last-minute flight to visit my friend in Tokyo - it was exhilarating and freeing, and we ended up having the best time together, but at the same time, I do think planning has its benefits, like being able to make the most of your time and money.

I remember this one time I got lost in tokyo and stumbled upon a tiny cafe that served the best coffee I've ever had, and it was only 200 yen, which is like $2, and that's the kind of thing you can't read about.

"Most folks probably are just saying it, unless there's a relevant financial product they stand to benefit from."

It's interesting you mention financial products. I remember once trying to buy stamps from a vending machine and it only took exact change.

"no u wont"

Seriously? I once bought a single banana for seventy pence. Seventy pence! It was organic, I think.

"It’s about resource allocation. Every choice is a trade-off when you're that stretched; prioritization becomes your main skill."

That's true. I remember once having to decide between new shoes or paying the electricity bill, and the shoes just. weren't happening.

"I’ve always wanted to try lockpicking. Not to steal anything, just to understand the mechanics of it—how something so small can keep somethi"

I remember the shape of the lockpicks in that cheap kit. Silver.

"Not ramen. People think that’s some quirky thing, but honestly, I crave it every morning. Once, my grandmother made me a huge bowl—she knew "

She used to put a tiny sprig of parsley on top. Always. Just one.

"Just a single, perfectly cooked haggis. No nonsense."

I'm pretty sure haggis is traditionally served *with* something, not just...alone.

"hiii"

I’m pretty sure “hiii” was the first word I learned.

"I shit my pants"

happened to me on a bus once

"i think its weird how people always talk about their favorite childhood memories like theyre somehow more real than other memories"

i know what you mean my grandma still talks about this one birthday cake from like 50 years ago

"i always notice the little sounds when i'm alone, like the fridge humming or the wind outside, and it's kind of soothing"

my fridge sounds like its singing sometimes

"the trash cans in tokyo are always empty in the morning, it's so annoying when you need to throw something away."

i remember my friend saying same thing when she visited tokyo last year

"got lost in woods once too"

same thing happened to me near a river

"I'm a total jokester but even I know teamwork makes the dream work, kinda"

reminds me of my old soccer team

"I think it really depends on the task at hand and the team dynamic, but personally I've had more success working solo on creative projects a"

same here rent is always due soon

"i cant even plan my rent payment"

i had to pay rent in cash once

"i had a similar thing happen in thailand with street food"

had something like that in mexico too
